To celebrate a client’s 60th birthday during the summer, we were hired to cater a garden party. Since the event was an outdoor one, we decided on a menu of canapés followed by bowl food, served by seven of our waiting staff; allowing guests to mingle and chat they ate. This is a great option if you have a large number of guests and space is limited.
Since the hosts were both doctors, they requested a menu of seasonal, healthy ingredients catering for meat eaters, fish lovers and veggies, along with a selection of mini desserts. On arrival we served guests Rose Prosecco, followed by French white Sauvignon Blanc and a red Chilean Merlot, in addition to this we served elderflower cordial and sparkling water as non-alcoholic options, provided by our wine merchant Michael Jobling. After the speeches, we served guests flutes of Joseph Perrier Champagne to toast their host’s birthday.
